Week 38 ProgreSs

Reaching my week 38..my whole body get more n more bigger n heavier...when i go for my routine check up...for the 1st time durin blood test the nurse gif out the "WOW" n i faster look @ the monitor...n i jollywell duno tat i got high blood..n i dun even knw a normal blood pressure is how much...so after the test i walk out, was about to tell husband abt it n was bein call in to C Doc Watt...usuali i focus more is my weight for blood pressure & urine, i dun bother de cos i duno hw to c..

When Doc watt 1st saw me, she says "i tink u reali gota induce, due to hafin high blood pressure"..n she saw my foot is gettin more n more swollen..n i tell her @ times i saw lightnin flyin worms like tat...n she's reali very worried..but she ask me proceed for Ultrasound scan 1st..

Durin ultrasound...Doc Watt praise tat baby weight has improve but my high blood pressure reali make her worried...she did a VE check for me..i'm not dilated @ all..but she suggest tat i admit to Mount Alvernia on midnite n insert induction pill n gif birth on 1st June 2010 nite or latest by 2nd June 2010 mornin..as husband n i haf oreadi discuss if we can delay jiu delay n wait until Raphael decide to chose his own birthday...so we discuss wif gynae to delay until Friday 4th June 2010 Midnite admit n gif birth Saturday 5th June 2010 if not latest 6th June 2010..den Doc Watt ask me is it auspicious date..den i told her its not ani auspicious date juz its weekend hehe...den Doc Watt tink awhile n says ok cos my urine did not contain protein so still can delay until Thursday to check my VE n Blood pressure n will decide again from there...

After comin out from Doc Watt room i was so so so afraid cos D day is reali near...as Precious parent came over to pass us some goodies tat Precious daddy bought from Taiwan...den we met for dinner @ Sakura...told my precious parent abt my situation n precious daddy agrees tat my blood is indeed very high...cos a normal blood pressure is 120 n mine is 144

3rd June 2010 - ITs a Thursday

Weight - 61Kg

Blood pressure - FAILED right hand (141) left hand (160)

Urine - FAILED (contain protein)

While measuring the blood pressure...the Nurse "WOW" even louder than monday..i quickly look @ the monitor..its 160 for my left hand n nurse suggest again to measure for my right hand n it turn out to b 141..both is equally high...

After doin all the test...the nurse told us to go for a walk or take our dinner cos Doc Watt went to attend someting urgent so will come back shortly...den husband quickly ask me abt my blood pressure n i told him the result...den we go for a short walk..den awhile later the nurse call us...

When Doc Watt 1st c me...she look so so worried n say "reali cannot wait..u nid to admit hospital by today n cannot b midnite..muz immediate cos now ur blood pressure is very high plus urine oreadi contain protein..." when she says tat i juz oni open the door n not even sitted...i'm super STUNT n scare...i omost teared but i'm controllin it...den we proceed to ultrasound n Doc Watt keep press my ribcage n ask me pain anot...den she consider again n says "reali cannot la..haf to admit la cannot risk, most important is mother n baby is safe" n she reconsider @ least 3 time n keep sayin cannot take risk...den she wrote a note n call Mount Alvernia n tell them abt my situation..den i say "but now my leg no longer swollen le" den Doc Watt says "dun gif urself animore excuse.." i tink Doc Watt can c tat i'm tryin to delay...so doc watt ask me to lay down on the bed n she's tryin to expand my cervix..n measure i'm oni 0.5cm dilated..

Den walk out of the room, while waitin for Nurse to call Mount Alvernia n all to settle my admission..i call my mum n she's playin mahjong somemore...den told her abt it...as husband call precious parent in law so they quickly eat dinner @ popo house n rush home to fetch us to Mount Alvernia...after tat husband call his boss...n his boss told him "such important situation juz go ahead..dun nid call me n seek for approval" when husband told me abt it, i was so touch by wad his boss has said...den Freddie was smsin wif husband den we told him abt i'm admittin immediately..n he offer to come over n company us...after nurse call ask n pass us the document to brin over to Mount Alvernia..i was totally blank..oh ya, i was oso smsin wif Surprise n told her tat i gota admit immediately..n we were smsin away...den husband went to da bao dinner, but i totally no appetite so Does he...so we bought oni 1 packet of chicken rice n we shared...

Reach home..husband ask me to go for a bath den he pack all those charger n laptop to brin over to hospital...when i was showerin, i teared cos i reali scare n duno hw labour is like..den i was tokin to bb in my tummy..i told bb to come out safetly, smoothly n healthy, n ask him to come out quick so i wun b in so much pain..den i faster do some squattin exercise hopin to expand my cervix...when i came out of shower, i eat my dinner n husband very automatically make me a glass of SUPER cold ribena cos he knw i cannot touch cold drink for 1 month..hehe..den after tat everyting done we proceed to precious father in law car..inside the car was smsin wif Surprise n yenlee...So sweet of them...Surprise oreadi make plan when to visit me le..n yenlee tells me wad i shld do n all...i'm reali blessed wif so mani good n kind ppl around me...

8pm plus reach Mount Alvernia n do admission n a guy brin us to Lvl 3 if i dun remember wrongly...inside the lift the guy ask wad happen to me, den we told him tat i got high blood...as mother in law alight together wif us n carry bags for us den father in law park his car...den mother in law wana wait for father in law so she ask us to go up 1st...den when i reach the Delivery Suite, there's a nurse says "Oh, so tis is the one got high blood de ah" while i was takin my weight...

den was brin to Delivery Room 3A...den was given the delivery gown n was told to urine on the cup n gif it to them..the delivery gown was all open bhind n fully covered in front..den urine on the cup n saw some blood on the urine... after tat i walk out n husband help me tie the gown..den the nurse teach me to go toilet n lock another door...cos 2 delivery room shared 1 toilet..so when i go in i gota lock on next door den when i finish usin the toilet i gota help to unlock..den i was told to lay down on the bed...den husband walk out to tell his parent to go home for a rest as they cannot go in the delivery room...den the nurse ask me whether i wan do hearin test for bb...den i straight away says YES..as long aniting tats good for bb, i'll juz do...

When i start layin on the bed...CTG monitor was strap on my tummy to monitor bb heartbeat n contraction n Blood pressure was monitor...den we ask the nurse whether we can use the Laptop n Hp..den was told tat its better not to use it...den ask us to wait around 1hour plus later...cos CTG monitor will remove after 1 hour n wait for duno 1-2hr later den strap again for another 1 hour...

Around 11plus, we start to use laptop...n 1st ting i do is log in FB n inform my frenz tat i'm @ Mt Alvernia den msn wif my sister n Video Cam wif her to let her c the delivery suite...lolx..

Soon 12am arrive..nurse ask husband to go out awhile as they wana insert induction pill on my cervix...

WAITING GAME...

After insert pill, is a waiting game for my cervix to open...i was prayin hard tat my cervix can open asap so i can quickly deliver raphael out n c him...i was wide awake as too anxious n husband was sleepin away as i ask him to rest...den 3am plus the nurse came in to take my blood pressure...den my blood pressure turn out to be 171 n the midwifes tell me tat i'm suppose to slp if not my blood pressure will continue to b so high..so i force myself to slp..den it's indeed works cos 5am plus i took measurement again den it decrease to 159... as i reali cannot get into slp due to all the excitement n oso 2 delivery suite share 1 toilet..i duno y the next room keep go to the toilet n somemore showerin..i suspect tat the husband is usin..by right husband is not allow to use the toilet...

Earli mornin 6am plus, heard a baby cryin..i was smilin away while hearin the baby cry...its so cute...n husband oso wake up by the baby cry...@ tat moment i was tinkin will raphael b out soon???

8am-8.10am - Dr Watt came in together wif a midwife...Doc Watt check my Cervix..its quite pain but tat moment i was prayin hard n excited to wait for my Gynae tellin me good news (cervix haf open by hw mani CM)...but when her hand is out of my cervix...i look @ her reaction, n she shake her head..i SUPER SIAN lo..n she say oni 1cm..oreadi 6hours suppose my cervix shld b open @ least 3-4cm but mine oni 1CM...so Doc Watt told me tat she'll break my water bag, to fasten the process for my cervix to open...when Doc Watt put her hand into my cervix again n dig dig dig together wif the midwife...Doc Watt keep say "Sorry ah, i knw its pain" n i juz hold on to the blanket n finali i saw Dioc Watt hands come out den the midwife took a stick or wad to poke on it as i cant c clearli due to wearin spects den tat time my spects is not wif me...After poking...the pain juz come immediately, n i feel my tummy is so so tight, n bottom got those warm warm liquid leakin out..Doc Watt says "Inject epidural ok" i straight away say OK..n i was worry tat the Doc who inject epidural will took very long to come..so i ask whether will the Doc come immediately...den the midwife told me latest by 8.30am cos he start work tat time..so i was tinkin tat oni 15more mins..so i ask whether i can go toilet..so she help me up to the toilet together wif husband..when i climb up of the bed,i saw the bed got blood n i was walkin very slowli n keep holdin onto my tummy cos its very pain...while i'm walkin i can feel warm warm ting leakin oso but in very slow pace...when i go toilet, i urine tat time i feel alot of water comin out..duno is urine or water bag..lolx..den bak to bed i start to curl abit liao as the pain i cannot take it...was prayin hard the epidural Doc faster come...

8.20-8.25am - Doc(epidural) came, i was so happi den who knws b4 he inject..he introduce himself to me..@ tat moment i juz keep say "okok" cos i juz wan the epidural to b inject faster, den he explain to me tat will inject @ where den i shldn't move up all tis...so midwife help to turn my body to my left n make me in curl position like a prawn , as i cant curl to much cos of the tummy so the midwife help me hold on my leg...den the process of inject is fast n kinda pain..den when Doc inject i did jump abit cos of the pain..den after awhile the Doc tape a ting on my clothes n he duno do wad den he ask me whether i feel my back got those washing feelin...den i feel like got water @ my whole back runnin n its quite cooling...so i ask the doc straight away tat i still feel cramps leh...as i thot it will b immediate effect who knw's tat i haf to wait @ least 30mins..

Epidural is reali GOOD...cos after 15-20mins i feel the pain slowli gone..n i slowli gettin more n more drownsy...so i fall aslp..

11am-12pm - Doc Watt came to check my cervix...>.<>

12-3pm - on n off, midwife came in to take my blood pressure n oso help to soften my cervix (by puttin their hand into my cervix n stretchin it)...while doin it, the midwife tok to me n ask me go for C Sec cos she say my cervix still not reali open much..den i told her tat i reali wish to try for normal delivery...den doc watt came again..as usual i was hopin to hear good news..n who knws Doc Watt say got improvement cos oreadi 2cm..den while doc watt check my cervix...she keep say "sorry ah, i know its uncomfortable n is it pain?" den i look @ her n smile n say "NO Ah" n my heart was tinkin "thanks to the epidural" lolx...den the midwife was touchin my leg n tokin to my gynae while they're helpin me to soften my cervix...the midwifes told my gynae "she reali wans to go for natural delivery" den my gynae look @ me n tell me, i'll put drip again n wait until 6pm plus i come n check n if got abit improvement n ur blood pressure not very high den we'll continue wait...den tat moment i feel like crying..cos my gynae reali understand my heart den n keep console me n brin me some hope for Natural delivery...

3pm - 6pm -as usual i keep sleepin n midwife keep take my blood pressure n soften my cervix.. den i was worryin abt my blood pressure..so i keep ask husband to tell me the result of my blood pressure..still jump btwn 140-160...den my parent in law starts to sms husband n ask hw is it n all den my dad n mum oso...haha..den husband keep say "not yet, still waiting" lolx...midwife tok to me n tell me tat she feels i go for Sec C chances is very high cos @ tis time my cervix still 2cm nia...den she say now Sec C husband can go in de..i told her tat i knw but i scare of operation...den midwife says "ur contraction is very regular, baby head is oreadi engage n everyting so smoothly, duno y ur cervix haven open" den i ask hw u knw my baby head is engage den she say when she do cervix check she can feel my baby head" den i ask her "does my baby got alot of hair.." den she laugh n say she feel got abit of hair...

6pm - Doc Watt came n she say how come my urine so little oni..cos i was put on drip..oreadi 2nd bag den my urine still so little...she was so worried cos my input is alot den output abit..so she draw my blood for test..so again i nid to b poke again..tis time husband was not around me cos he was allow to b there...so i look another side...den Doc watt again told us if the report out is ok..n my blood pressure did not jump ani higher n my output is ok still can wait...@ tat moment i very sian liao..cos i oreadi hear afew of my neighbour gif birth liao den i still haven...but no choice i still wait n continue slp...

7plus - midwifes came n do the same process again...Doc watt came n say the report is ok den check my output got slight improvement den cervix open 3cm oreadi...so she say can still wait...

8plus - midwife came n check the CTG n tell me tat my baby is tired oreadi n he's slpin cos his heartbeat is jumpin constantly...so she brin in 1 ting n say tis is a stamulator wana disturb baby from sleepin den she try on my hand n say it wun harm baby..so she stamulate on my tummy den after awhile baby start movin...den i go bak to sleep...@ tat moment i was tinkin should i go for C Sec..i cannot b so stubborn...den i ask husband, he tell me not to tink so much..rest 1st den while i rest,baby sleep again den the midwife did not check regularly for baby heartbeat so tis midwife told another midwife tat how can they did not check baby heartbeat regular cos baby sleep quite long..so they brin in the stamulator again to stamulate baby..den the midwife keep sayin "aiyo, baby too tired le" den when nurse go out i told husband i wana go for C Sec..den he ask me whether to go for Full Body or half epidural...den i straight away say half epidural..he got a shock...cos i told him b4 tat if goin for operation i wan full body (wich is sleep thru out the operation den wake up baby is beside u) den he sayang my head n say "r u sure u wan half epidural?" den i say "yes, bcos i wana hear my baby 1st cry" den he kiss me n go out n tell the nurse... while waitin for Doc Watt to come..i was still puzzlin to reali go for C sec anot...until i hear my next door neighbour was shoutin so so so loud n the husband is shoutin even louder than the wife.. lolx...i was tinkin ani way oso pain..so long my son come out safely n smoothly...so i close my eye rest awhile cos i tink the epidural causes me to feel so sleepy...den midwife on n off check baby heartbeat n my blood pressure

9-9.25pm - doc watt came n check everyting den she use her hand go into my cervix n push the baby up..den i suddenly feel my tummy is big again..den oso alot of nurse come to me n ask me whether when i last eat n got wear ani accessories or ani nail painting...den husband haf to follow 1 nurse for some instruction den i was transfer to another bed for wheelin into operation threatre...

Reaches the operation room..its so so so cold..n i saw all the nurse n doc oreadi fully cover den another epidural doc inject duno wad for me...n ask me whether i feel washin behind my bak den when nurse was touchin my tummy tat time to clean the surface of my tummy..i quickly look @ the Epidural Doc n say "how huh?? i still can feel!!!" den the doc tell me,YES u still can feel but not pain n ask me to lift up my leg, if i can lift up means the epi not strong..so i try to lift up but cannot so the Doc say its ok...den they duno paste wad n wad on my chest n all...den they start cuttin 1st layer on my tummy..i was lookin here n there n tell the nurse "where's my husband" den the nurse say he's comin...den when Doc Watt cut 2nd layer of my tummy...my husband is here..so he sit bside n tok to me...

Hus : baby very fast coming out liao...
me : Hmm...(holdin his hand tight)
hus : baby better look like u...
me : smile (but in abit pain) i dun wan to gif birth animore..
hus : later u c our baby come out so cute u wun tink tat way oreadi
me : i tink i still will (while doc oreadi open my tummy n start pickin n pushin)

Doc Watt says "very fast ur baby is coming out oreadi"

while they pushin duno wad i was bitin my lips hard cos kinda pain...den Epidural Doc was juz on my left hand side..so i heard Doc watt say "ok" den the Epidural doc adjust duno wad den push my tummy down..den within seconds.. i hear my little Man loud cry...my tears juz splash out..tat feelin is reali so so so precious in my life...although its very very very pain but everyting cannot compare to hearin my son 1st cry...

So i ask husband to go n take photo of baby..he told me cannot oni when nurse say ok den he can go..den after awhile he walk off oreadi..den Doc watt still push n push n my whole bodi was like a washin machine like tat..lolx..den half way thru i fainted cos i scare den when i was awake...they're omost done...total process took oni 35-40mins...

After the Operation...Doc Watt come to hold my hand n say later smack ur son butt..den i was shiverin den i smile @ her n say "yes..muz smack" den the nurse n doc watt converstion was tis year alot of baby boy..they oreaid deliver duno hw mani boy tis months..den Doc watt continue n say "mayb they together decide to come tis month den when they enlist NS got buddy" den i smile alittle cos i was still shiverin n in pain..den they push me to another side n put a mask for me to breathe n check my blood pressure n all den Doc Watt was holdin my hand n ask me whether i'm feelin ok...i feel my gynae is reali a very nice person..den not long the nurse came to push me to my ward...while on the way to my ward..the nurse say "ur baby reali look like u..a mummy boy" den another one ask "wads ur son name" den i told them "raphael" den she say we got a "St Raphael Ward" ..den i told them i knw when i was warded to delivery suite tat time..den when out of the lift i saw husband juz nice walk out of nursery room

Back to my ward...St Crispin 336..Our Lady Ward..

i was transfer to the bed..tats the most pain moment n i feel my stomach so hot but i'm still shiverin..den after tat husband came to me n sayang me n tok to me...den describe our baby to me n all..den i keep say i wana c baby...den he walk to nursery tat time..the nurse say oni can pass to us 1hr later as baby was put under Warmer...

while waiting for my Little Raphael...i send sms to all my frenz...

the moment i forever will not forget...

when husband pushin baby into the room on the way beside me..Raphael eye is wide open n keep lookin @ my direction..i cant help keep smilin @ him..

the most best part....

i wana sayang my little raphael...so i ask husband to carry raphael over to me..n he say he duno hw to carry..so he carry the whole basket but the basket is too big n i still cannot touch baby so i ask him follow my instruction n carry raphael to me..n he did...BUT later raphael is cryin den husband duno hw to put bak the baby..n keep carryin him here n there askin "How ah, i duno hw to put bak" den i cant help laughin but my wound is so pain..i ask him to look for nurse to help him...tis is so funny...

den husband push baby bak to nursery n ask me to rest...den i keep on sms...den i sleep less than 1 hour i wake husb up n ask him push baby to me..cos i miss him so much...den he keep ask me to slp..but i dun wan...so he push the baby to me...i keep lookin @ him n keep smilin..its like so automatic..
